Shortly before 9pm Brandywine Hundred were alerted to an automatic fire alarm at 100 Amer Road, while responding the incident was upgraded to commercial structure fire. Engine 11-5 arrived to find an active fire inside a recycling facility. Crews used heavy equipment to move recycled material around to aid in the overhaul. Numerous mutual-aid companies assisted us including Claymont Fire Company, Talleyville Fire Company, Minquadale Fire Company, Station 22, Marcus Hook Trainer Fire Department, Wilmington Manor Fire Company, Concordville Fire & Protective Association, and New Castle County Paramedics.

Thanks to Bethel Twp. Hose Co.#1, Lower Chichester Volunteer Fire Company, and Elsmere Fire Company No.1 for covering the Nordel.
