The Officers and Members of Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, No. 1 regretfully announce the passing of Honorary Member, Robert T. Peterson. Bob passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 3, 2020 at the age of 87.
Bob joined Brandywine Hundred Fire Company on February 4, 1953 and was an Honorary and Lifetime Active member. During his tenure at Brandywine Hundred he proudly served as Fire Recorder, Board of Director and Apparatus Driver. Bob also participated with numerous committees and was Chairman of Building and Maintenance. During his (67) years at Station 11, Bob responded to (30) percent of the sounded alarms for thirty years.
The Peterson family has more than "100" Years of Active Service at Brandywine Hundred Fire Company. He proudly served along side of his son, Steve, his late wife Dorothy "Dot" (Ladies Auxiliary), late brothers; C. Frank and Wilber F. Peterson and his nephew current Board of Director, C. Frank Willette.
In addition to serving his community Bob also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
The Officers and Members of Bandywine Hundred Fire Company, No. 1 extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Peterson family especially his children; Steve, Lauren & Betty. Bob will always be remembered and never forgotten.
Graveside services for Bob were held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, Delaware.
