|June 2, 2020|
With heavy hearts and deep sadness the Officers and Members of Brandywine Hundred Fire Company No. 1 announce the passing of Honorary Member, James A. Pletz who passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
Jim joined Brandywine Hundred Fire Company on March 1, 1967 and was an Honorary and Life-Time active member with (53) years of service. During his tenure at Brandywine Hundred Fire Company Jim proudly served as President (1973), Vice President (1972), Board of Director and Fire Police. Jim also participated with numerous committees and was Chairman of the Fund Drive. Jim also proudly served along with his late son David.
While we will treasure the many fond memories of Jim, he will be forever known for his card-playing skills as he looked forward to a good card game with fellow members after each monthly company meeting.
Jim's dedication and commitment to Brandywine Hundred Fire Company and the community he so willingly served is a true testament of a great man who will always be remembered and never forgotten.
The membership of Brandywine Hundred Fire Company extends our condolences to the entire Pletz family and we thank you for sharing Jim with us for the past (53) years.
Rest in Peace Jim.
