Wednesday, February 10, 2010 - The major snow storm that arrived to the area on the evening of Feb. 9th and ended the evening of the 11th brought the area 12" of snow on top of the previous weekends 25". Along with all of the snow came an additional 18 fire runs and 6 EMS runs that Brush Truck 11-1 responded on with the ambulances. During the storm station 11 had two ambulances in service staffed by career staff and had at least 12 firefighters in station at all times. The fire reports for the 18 fire calls during the snow storm show that station 11 had 18-25 responding members for each call. We would like to thank our neighboring companies for there assistance during the storm on Fire and EMS calls. Special thanks to the members that plowed the property and responded to emergencies during the difficult weather conditions.
