Monday, January 4, 2010 09:55 - On Monday 1/4/2010 @ 0955 hrs., stations 11 (Brandywine Hundred), 13 (Claymont) and 25 (Talleyville) were alerted for a structure fire in the area of 1127 Rosedale Ave. in Bellefonte. Upon arrival Engine 113 under the command of Deputy 11 (Mike DiMauro Jr.) reported fire showing from the rear of the structure and advised the next due engine to stretch a supply line in from the hydrant. The crew from Engine 113 advanced a 1 3/4" handline into the structure for fire suppression. During this one of the firefighters was removed from the structure experiencing chest pains and transported to the hospital. Deputy 11 requested a working alarm response @ 1003 hrs, this alerted stations 22 (Minquadale) and 17 (Fivepoints) to the scene. At 1004 hrs. Chief Tom Finocchiaro arrived and assumed command of the scene and Deputy 11 became the interior command. Ladder 13 was instructed to ladder the structure and prepare to ventilate the roof. All visible fire was knocked down quickly and overhaul was started. The scene was placed under control with units working @ 1041 hrs.
