Several Officers and Members of Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, No. 1 left the station early this morning on Tower-Ladder 11 and headed to one of the designated overpasses in preparation for the escorted funeral procession for fallen Marine Staff Sgt. and New York City Firefighter Christopher Slutman. BHFC was one of several local fire departments who lined the overpasses to salute Marine Staff Sgt. Slutman as the motorcade carrying his remains passed through Delaware heading to New York City.

The entire organization of Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, No. 1 offers our deepest condolences to the Slutman Family, United States Marine Corps and New York City Fire Department.

Thank you Chris for making the ultimate sacrifice, giving your life to defend our Country and all she stands for.

May You Rest in Peace.
